Blogging Versus Advertising

I was wondering how many of us have the misconceptions of what a blog is and what an advertisement is so I got the definitions for the both of them and posted them here on a BLOG!!!!!

We have a links tab for you to list your link in, and we have a merchandise tab for listing merchandise. Every time you put an item on the merchandise tab it ends up on the front page. Hence the reason for the merchandise tab. Then if someone wants to read your AD then all they have to do is click the link that will redirect them to your site and your item.

By Blogging your advertisement you are spamming the front page, which isnt fair or nice to everyone, we are trying to make this as user friendly as possible but we dont want people coming here feeling bombarded by ads.

So I have given the definitions of blog and advertisement and ask that everyone please try to keep focused.

Advertising is a form of communication that typically attempts to persuade potential customers to purchase or to consume more of a particular brand of product or service. Many advertisements are designed to generate increased consumption of those products and services through the creation and reinforcement of "brand image" and "brand loyalty". For these purposes, advertisements sometimes embed their persuasive message with factual information. Every major medium is used to deliver these messages, including television, radio, cinema, magazines, newspapers, video games, the Internet and billboards. Advertising is often placed by an advertising agency on behalf of a company or other organization.
